iOS 14 widgets - concepts
After the announcement of widgets in iOS 14, I wanted to explore its possibilities design-wise and create some different concepts
Facebook Messenger
To support the connectivity and social aspect of Facebook Messenger, the main focus behind this widget is to give the user a quick glance at his/her latest conversations, while getting an update on the number of unread conversations.
Flashscore
The main reason sports enthusiasts download a live score app is to follow their favorite team when they are playing. Today users are able to get notifications when teams score a goal or the match is finished, but with a widget, they will know how long time is left in the match and also see information about multiple games at once.
Kindle
Reading is healthy and most people don't read enough.
This widget helps motivate and nudge people to read more, by displaying the book they are currently reading, and giving them a status on how much they read today.
To create a more dynamic experience, the widget changes background color based on the current book.
